Train Dispatching System (DRTD)
DRTD (Digital Radio communication system for Train Dispatching) is Caltta's 400MHz digital train dispatch communication system for railways and rail transit. Targeting the voice communication and data transmission needs of wireless train dispatching, it fully leverages the advantages of digital systems to provide reliable wireless dispatch communication for train dispatchers and other professionals.
The system features low construction cost, short project cycle and convenient O&M. It supports onboard dispatch commands and data services, reducing station attendant workload; it supports regional centralized working mode, where station operation consoles can be fully operated at the dispatch center, greatly improving train dispatch efficiency. It is highly applicable to Indonesia's Whoosh HSR, urban rail transit (MRT/LRT) and KAI national railway scenarios.
System Users & Terminals
Dispatch & Station
- Dispatchers
Use dispatching consoles for train dispatch command - Station Attendants
Use station operation consoles for traffic operations - Assistant Attendants
Use portable handheld radios for mobile operations
Onboard & On-site
- Train Drivers
Use CIR (Cab Integrated Radio) and MMI human-machine interface - Handheld Terminals
Portable radios for on-site personnel - Tunnel Extension
Tunnel remote devices ensure coverage in weak-signal areas
Network Architecture
A three-tier architecture covering the bureau center, station/section and onboard, with firewalls and security devices added when accessed via data networks:
Bureau Center Dispatching Interface Server · Fixed Station Control Device · Dispatching Console · NMS Server
▼
Station / Section Fixed Station · Repeater · Tunnel Remote Device · Antenna-feeder System · Station Operation Console
▼
Onboard / On-site Locomotive CIR + MMI · Handheld Terminals
Core Functions
Train Wireless Voice Dispatch
- Private / group / broadcast calls
- "Small Triangle" calls: driver, station attendant, conductor
- "Big Triangle" calls: train dispatcher, locomotive driver, station attendant
- Caller/callee functional number or ISDN number transmission
Data Transmission
- Uplink / downlink data transmission
- Interworking with CTC/TDCS, RMS systems
- Dispatch command and route forecast delivery
- Train number verification, in-route monitoring
Calling Services
- Late Entry
- Channel occupancy identification
- Service priority management
- Voice forced release, SLC short link control
Fallback Safeguards
- When the link between fixed station and controller breaks, group/private calls within the station and adjacent stations are unaffected
- When a fixed station fails, CIRs and dispatch radios in the area auto-switch to DMO direct mode
- Multi-level fault tolerance for operational safety
