DMR Digital Radio System
DMR (Digital Mobile Radio) is the international digital radio standard defined by ETSI. Built on Caltta's complete DMR product portfolio, HarvestWell delivers professional narrowband digital radio networks scaling from a single base station to hundreds of sites, supporting both Conventional (Tier II) and Trunking (Tier III) modes — dedicated frequency, private networking, secure and reliable.
DMR safeguards mission-critical voice cost-effectively, with simple networking, large coverage and Direct Mode Operation (DMO). It is widely applied in public safety, emergency response, transportation, energy & power, oil & gas, and forestry — forming the foundation of daily dispatch and command for government and enterprises.
Networking Modes
DMR supports flexible networking modes selectable by coverage, capacity and control needs:
Conventional
- Single Site / IP Connection
IP Connection cascades up to 64 sites, economical and efficient - Simulcast
Up to 16 sites; covers large areas with limited frequencies, automatic roaming - Active Link
Up to 16 sites; wide coverage without transmission resources — ideal for forestry, highway, pipeline, river - Enhanced Conventional (ECS)
Up to 32 sites; dynamic channel allocation, greatly increased capacity
Trunking
- DMR Tier III Trunking
Up to 64 sites (Tier II) / 512 sites (Tier III) — coverage, capacity and control - Dynamic Channel Allocation
Channels allocated on demand, boosting concurrent call capacity - Cross-site Auto Roaming
Seamless roaming and handover for continuous mobile communication - Wireless Ad Hoc
Rapidly form a mobile private network without fixed infrastructure
